Phuket Surgical Training Internship
Thailand
Students in their final year of vet school help manage the stray dog and cat population in Phuket and the surrounding islands by providing free sterilizations, vaccinations, treatments, and education about effective animal management and welfare. The vet staff at this clinic has received international training and support from the WSPA and the RSPCA.

Accommodation is not provided by this program, but our team is more than happy to connect you with several options for safe, comfortable housing near the surgical center. Most local hotels cost $100-200 USD per week, largely dependent on your personal budget. Program Coordinators at the center will point you towards the best local groceries & eateries. The cost of food is $20-50 USD per week.

Vet/Animal Activities:
Daily Activities: Spay/neuter operations (ET intubation, IV catheter placement, anesthetic monitoring, surgical experience*, post-op recovery) Consultations Diagnostics (radiography, ultrasound, blood work, etc.) Basic treatments Vaccinations Microchipping Mobile clinic (frequent visits to remote villages that do not have access to veterinary services – onsite sterilization, vaccination, and basic treatments)Free-Time Activities:
